Step 1.
Sample Check-In: Clinicians check samples into Agile Path, creating a patient-associated case.
Each sample is checked into the Agile Path sender pathway at the hospital, initiating a digital case file linked to specific patient details, ensuring accuracy and traceability from the start.
Step 2.
Patient Verification: Patient details are confirmed using NHS Number Verification.
By searching through the patient demographic service, Agile Path verifies patient identity, attaching a unique NHS number to the case for consistent and secure patient identification.
Step 3.
Lab Processing: Labs receive cases with a single QR Code label.
Simplifying the process, the lab needs only to scan the QR Code on the Agile Path platform to access and process the full patient case details, significantly reducing manual errors and paperwork.
Step 4.
Diagnostic Reporting and Integration: Clinicians access completed reports through Agile Path.
Once the pathologist completes the diagnostic report, it's integrated back into the clinical systems via Epic HL7 messaging, allowing clinicians immediate access to the information, closing the loop efficiently.
